Greetings from the
President’s Roundhouse
We had two good shows within the last few weeks,
the Bentonville Arkansas show and the show here in Tulsa. Let me thank everyone who was involved
in either or both of these shows as there was a lot of hard work to make these
happen. The Arkansas
show turned out to be a bit cold and a fun drive home in the ice and snow. We
had a good module setup at the Arkansas
show and had a lot of structures and items to decorate with. This helped make
the modules look more interesting to the crowds. Congratulations goes to Jim
Martin for his first place win with his junkyard in the model competition for
structures. Good job Jim!
For the Tulsa
show, I think we had one of the largest module displays that the Tulsa Garden
Railroad Club has ever put together. We had a total of approximately 24 modules
covering a space of about 50 feet by 30 feet. The ground track and helix
covered an additional 20 by 50 feet. Lots of trains running on both the ground
track and the module display. And something new for me, I did an interview with
channel 2 news on Sunday morning. I did not get to see the segment when it
aired on TV, but I have had several people tell me that they did see it.
Our meeting for March will be held at the Herman
and Kate Kaiser Library located at Lafortune Park,
5202 S. Hudson Avenue,
Ste B, Saturday
the 28th at 1:00pm in the afternoon. Then don’t forget that the
meetings during the spring, summer, and fall will be at different club members
homes. Until the
meeting….Donnie

in Bentonville on February 28th?
